Denise Ames is a native San Diegan living in Los Angeles. She currently anchors the weekly TV series "FOCUS IN THE MIX with Denise Ames"featuring a news desk highlighting exciting entertainment and community segments along with in-depth on camera celebrity interviews. Recent guests on the program include musicians Rudy Sarzo, Rex Brown of Pantera, Eddie Money, members of Ratt and Missing Persons, Carmine Appice, Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom of Blue Oyster Cult, Carlos Cavazo, L.A. Guns, Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, and many more. Actors like Linda Blair, Ed Asner, Frank Stallone, John Ratzenberger and Susan Olsen have also appeared on her TV show. Denise wrote factoids for CNN Headline News Local Edition inserts on cable for political interview segments in and around Los Angeles, performed on-camera remote reports, wrote and anchored various news programs for county wide cable as well.She also wrote and recorded 30-second PSAs and TV commercials, hosted various 30-minute specials and interviewed on the Red Carpet at events like PETA's 25th Anniversary, various movie premieres and award shows including the Night of 100 Stars Oscar Party for a variety of TV news outlets.
